Economics of Low Carbon Cities report – Leeds and London
13th January 2012
We launched the Economics of Low Carbon Cities report this week, following our initial talks at Durban UN talks last December. The regional launch at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on Monday, Chaired by Sir John Harman was attended by over 350 people, and we achieved TV and Press coverage from BBC Look North, Calendar and the local daily and evening press. Yesterday, we held a London launch at Portcullis House in conjunction with the All Party Parliamentary Committee on Climate Change to an audience of ~ 150, with a panel Chaired by Lord Redesdale, and opening remarks from our Director Jon Price to an audience of ~150 , with a panel including DECC, the Climate Change Committee, Friends of the Earth and Energy Savings Trust.
We have also subsequently been invited to give our presentation in Mexico City in March, where we will be reviewing if we can replicate this model internationally.
